Firefox Extension for Firefox 3.0

Due to issues with Firefox 3.0 and the CSE HTML Validator extension, we are not making this extension available with Firefox 3.0. Please check back here later for other solutions. Also, see this Firefox 3.0 forum thread.

(OLD) Firefox Extension for Firefox 1.0, 1.5, and 2.0

A free Firefox extension is available that lets you easily validate documents from within Firefox 1.0, 1.5, and 2.0 using the CSE HTML Validator Engine. Quickly check for problems with HTML, XHTML, CSS, accessibility issues and more. Just view the page in Firefox and click the icon in the Firefox status bar to check the current page.

This extension also features an Automatic Validation mode that automatically validates web pages as you browse the web. By configuring CSE HTML Validator to play a sound based on the number of errors or warnings in an HTML or XHTML page, you can quickly be notified by sound whether a page that you are visiting contains errors or warnings. The Firefox status bar can also be configured to show the number of errors and warnings in each page.

The extension is written by Giorgio Maone (new window), author of the very popular and highly rated FlashGot (new window) and NoScript (new window) Firefox extensions.
